We aren't that strict here about OT stuff.

I appreciate your comments, very thoughtful. I agree that the two situations are not comparable except for one thing: the punishment dished out by the market did not fit the crime in either case.

The market goes through phases that have a definite relationship to trends, and particularly inflection points in those trends. For a while, when bullish giddiness is in the air, the market will blow off significant bad news and charge ahead anyway. At other times, when sentiment is running to bearish fear-tinged extremes, the slightest hint or rumor of bad news sends traders storming the exits. The situation with NTAP and ADBL is evidence that the market mood is shifting perceptibly towards the latter.

I can't say I disagree with you. But the implication is the thing here, and is at least consistent with an end to the relief rally, and a resumption of the medium term correction we have been in all year.
