Actually, spinach does not have much iron. It was apparently the mistake of a secretary that put the decimal in the wrong place that made us think it had ten times more iron. The mistake was corrected more than fifty years ago. Sorry to be a spoilsport :-) Raw spinach leaves makes a great salad, though...
