<<." It was those types of duplicitous dealings,
which "took place outside of the Iraq oil-for-food program," and not the alleged oil-for-food kickbacks, that provided "the bulk of [Saddam Hussein's] illicit oil sale revenues." >>

Any measure we took to safeguard the flow of oil was in the best interests of our country. Now, if the transactions do indeed pan out to make up "the bulk" of oil revenues then we should be told that by the Admin. However, that does not relieve Anan or any other country of thier responsibility to be forthright about their dealings with Iraq as it applies to the oil for food program prior to 2003. My guess is that in the end we will still see a staggering number (in terms of dollars) of sales completed by MANY of the, what turned out to be, naysayers to invading Iraq. I don't think the UN or several of our "Allies" have been very good friends. I'm not saying we're perfect but I don't think they are in any position to impose a morality enema on the United States.

Would you agree with some or any of what I just said?
