The housing boom has gone on longer than most people expected (and may continue). But it will probably end quicker than anyone expects too.

True but will we have a nationwide collapse along with a drastic slowdown in economic activity across the board? Or will we have the speculative regions and players wiped out while the general economy only has minor distortions except in more undiversified housing dependent areas in much of Arizona, Nevada and Florida? Looking at England and Australia as perhaps leading indicators for the states even though housing seems to have cooled dramatically the stock markets are sitting right near multiyear highs.
