If you extend the working life to 70 years it really jumps. The $567066 jumps to $865,669 and the $1,220,363 jumps to $1,866,255.

According to: immediateannuities.com
$567066 a 65 year old male with 65 year old wife in the great plains can get $3070 for life (joint life - no beneficiary). Make that $865669 and you get $4687 or $865669 at 70 and you get $5189. With SS survivor benefits are split.
We might no live like royalty on $$4700 in todays dollars, but we could find a way to make ends meet. These are numbers based on the government keeping over 2/3rds of the withheld amount.
