Paul, We again disagree!

Based on your response to my post, please tell me you were not having one of your better days. First, I do not recall posting "many criticisms" of the Digitek Company. It is my opinion that the company does in fact have some sort of plate that can be imaged by the GTO, Quickmaster DI.... My opinion is also that this plate may very well infringe on the many Presstek patents protecting their technology.

It should be clear to you that any restrictive observation I would have been provided by Digitek would have provided me no useful purpose. Obviously, I would not have the expertise to competently comment on their "technology". Even though I have examined the PEARL technology on the QMDI and GTO presses and found it to be the most wonderful clarity, who am I to "pretend" to have the eye for one plate over another....for that matter, how would I know if I were examining the work of a Presstek plate or Digitek plate?

Even more obvious to me is the certainty this invitation request was not provided to me by Digitek unless they had virtual control over what I would observe and who I would interview and what they would say. Also, I would have to agree to post this information exactly how they decided. Otherwise, they would not have picked me. For what purpose would I benefit agreeing to their terms?

As they have requested that I examine Digitek's plate performance and intellectual property information, Paul, based on your "expertise", I am hereby officially delegating or passing this "opportunity of a lifetime" from me, to you, for YOUR (Digitek's) unbiased views, to report back to this forum. Their phone number is on the post. You would make a most "wonderful" volunteer!

On your way to the Digitek headquarters, you may even choose to pick up Pierre and Ivan, as they would certainly have a direct impact with DI users in their comments to the world.

I prefer to avoid a most certain potential liability if their plate violates Presstek patents.

I maintain if they are legitimate, there are many other professional avenues to pursue an informed opinion. Let them showcase their plate at Print-97 to many thousands of printers for their opinion, or more importantly, a sample of their plate submitted for Presstek examination would be a clear indication that they believe they have done their homework" and hold independent technology. Of course, this would mean that the 10 year work to invent and perfect the Presstek plate was wasted effort.

You state I am "unresponsive to facts and evidence".....well partner how do you respond?

Neil
