Don,
choose any definition/index you want.(Choose several, even!) Then stick with it (them) and see what happens. If we get any sustainable, significant market share increase (CPU), almost all measures should reflect it. You want to discount "Mac cult sales?" Fine, go find the old indices that discount "Mac cult sales" and follow them into the future. But don't switch from one measure to another with ad hoc arguments. As much as I like Mac products, as an investor, I tuly want to follow market share in some manner such as this. Anything you provide will be of interest.
