I agree 100% - once a standard of truth and reason has been suspended from public debate, anything is fair game. One of the common hate-talk radio cliches is "those guys on the other side can't even make a coherent argument about our position" or some such. Anything that doesn't agree with a partisan position is now illogical and incoherent. Welcome to modern American political "debate". These Kafkaesque departures into crazed ideologies always remind me of my favorite old Star Trek episode title: "Is There In Truth No Beauty?"
