that is nothing to do with depth larry. that is an market maker placing more stock for sale at the ask. Nothing wrong with that. He might have 100k or 200k to sell, are you saying depth is cast in stone and the MM must put the whole lot up for sale in one go? I often sell lots to keep from depressing the market when I am unloading.... Depth gives me an idea of what kind of selling pressure or buying pressure exists. However when someone sits on the ask or bid you just have to take that into account.
