Hi Tom: I posted this on CD'S thread as I had originally introduced Minco Mining to CD and Eva in particular. Wanted my post to get "double coverage" here.
Cheers,

Hi Eva: I wanted to update MMM since I touted here and to you.
Dave bailed his position based on technical price action and that has proven a wise move. I have now eliminated my position as well and took some hard lumps. I like Minco's prospects and they have Tremendous assets in China with millions of ozs to their credit, au & ag. BUT they have not been completing work programs on time whatsoever and when a company fails to do as it says it will I get nervous and start digging.

Here is the scoop as I understand it from a reliable source. The company is suffering from a founder CEO( Ken Cai) who is busy with MMM and many other co's. He is not involved in any impropriety just pleased with his own importance and lacking in the Management skills needed to run the company the way it should be. He has been able to put together a fantastic property portfolio in China and he is able to achieve a great deal there but we are not seeing the potential realized at all.

There are many very influential investors involved and they are dissatisfied to say the least. John Embry did call MMM one of his top picks on ROB-TV in December. These investors want change or are demanding change. That should mean a new CEO, one capable of exercising his authority without interference.
Until such time as this management issue is rectified I decided I would rather sit on the sidelines even if I have to re-enter at a higher price. The asset base and bluesky potential of this company is far too good to ignore but poor management can ruin even the greatest of opportunities.

Hope this proves useful.
Cheers,
Ogi
