I am a Centrist! I just took the compass test and scored x,y = +2.5, -2.7! Puts me right there close to the center in Q2. Maybe Ali was right when he once called me a "closet liberal" for being strongly against capital punishment.

Now again, I am old enough to remember how the political landscape looked like back in the 50s and 60s. The liberals back then in the UK as in most places in Europe were definitely located on the right side somewhere in Q3.
When somebody calls one "a liberal" in the US today, that means in a Volvo and somewhere to the left. I have a problem believing that you as a liberal see yourself to the right. But I may be wrong and if so is the case I take that back and excuse myself.

But having now learned that you are a (self declared) political scientist I will pay more attention to your opinions and be your humble student for some time and stick to what I know real well like everybody else on this thread.
