The funny thing about teacher pay is that they always list the gross pay, and neglect to mention the benefits. The teachers at my children's school are grossly underpaid, except for the fact they get 100% of their family health insurance paid. They are on a top notch plan. It increases the value of their contracts by 20% to 50%.
