And actually, given how long they pulled it off, and what it took to finally bust them, one wonders how many places it might have been done and never detected because the perpetrators successfully rode out the market peak that way. Even so, not much there for the anti-naked-shorting crusaders, other than the long-conceded point that not all shorts are on the side of the angels.
