I think the statement made by Smithee was that we had to take back our nation...or something to that effect is what prompted me to post that story.

I want to know who we're taking it back from? The church? Republican gay prostitutes masquerading as Whitehouse journalists?

I think we're doing a good job of protecting the innocents. We have the right laws and the right institutions in place. Can they always intervene in time? No they can't. No government agency or police force can always intercept the evil and base actions of those that are hell bent.

All we can do is to intercept these perverts as soon as possible and then get them out of society.

What goes on in the mind of a pedophile? A gay prostitute? Obviously their thinking is out of the norm. Our laws need to be crafted to protect those who wish take advantage of others.

In the case of Mary Kay...the courts did the right thing...they put her in jail.

Now that the father of her two children is an adult...and has the right to make up his own mind...wants to marry Mary...it seems that it's within the law...though it stretches the imagination. The job of the state is finished with respect to her crime. Now two adults make a decision to marry. I suspect that they will see many difficulties...all married couples do. I wish them well.
