It sounds to me like Martin McGuiness might have been involved, since several of the people implicated are from Derry, his old hangout. Maybe they all just forgot to tell Gerry Adams about the bank heist! Must have slipped their minds or something.

Really, I have no idea. But the IRA continues to be active in drug dealing and cigarette smuggling and intimidation knee cappings and all sorts of thuggish behaviors they really need to drop if they want Sinn Fein to be a legitimate political party that holds power in Northern Ireland. Not that the Protestant paramilitary organizations are any better, however, in all fairness.
