International security experts have found that only about one-third of websites that appear to be Canadian are actually in Canada -- and consumers can't tell the difference. Falso "Canadian" pharmacies traffic in counterfeit or marginally effective drugs manufactured and sent from countries such as South Africa, Pakistan, Dominican Republic, India and Namibia.

Namibia? Where exactly is Namibia? In Africa, not Canada. The drug Atavan was test-ordered from a Canadian website and it came in an envelope postmarked Namibia. It contained only 10% of the drug it purported to be.

India's fake drug market is so out of control that its Senate recently passed a law calling for the death penalty for convicted counterfeiters. India is one of the countries listed in the 25 access nations in the Senate importation bill co-sponsored by Senator Kerry.
