Pardon moi, but that's an ignorant comment. All drugs have side effects. Good old aspirin causes ulcers and can thin blood to the point that a wound otherwise surviveable is fatal. Shall it be pulled too?

And don't spout "natural" at me; we've seen several of those pulled recently.

it's all a big smoke screen. Talk about creative pyramids. why not just stand out on a street corner with boxes of high quality cheap drugs and get rid of the middle man. just let people sell them like they would roses or wolf painted blankets....
Because the drugs need to be vetted for relative safety AND they need to be given only to people that need them. A drug that can save my life can kill you. It depends on the medical conditions each of us have. You are taking a very complex individual situation and reducing it to a very simplistic one.

the FDA is not going to protect u. it's all about money. where is the mystery here?
The FDA is flawed. It depends heavily for its funding on Pharma. That should be changed.

and then when something gives u a stroke and heart attack they just look the other way.....oh my gosh. what a joke of a system.
Do you prefer there be no drugs such as blood thinners which can save your life in a heart attack, but can also kill by a stroke?

You're in a life-threatening situation; you have to take some risks. There is no free lunch.
