After ten years of development as a private corporation making inroads to the Russian Oil & Gas markets, the effort was backed into a PinkSheet shell to take it public. The "..consultants.." who proposed to Strat's management that they could 'make this happen' fell on their collective faces and put the effort several months behind. After cleaning up the share structure with a 1:13 r/s and changing the symbol from SPRU to SPRL, everything started coming together.
Unlike most other companies (..pink or not..), there was no retreat from the SPRU->SPRL 1:13 conversion price of $0.03. The price per share now stands at $0.30+ in just under 3 months, with new O&G contacts signed in Russia just last week - and this major News has not yet been thoroughly PR'd.
Management's repeatedly stated intent is to have Strat Petroluem on the AMEX and Optionable by the end of 2005. That requires a pps of $7+, so you can do the math on the potentital. There will be no stop-over on the OTCBB, as they will waste neither the time nor the effort needed for that.
Undoubtedly, there will be some jaded "..SI Stock Snobs.." who feel an uncontrollable motherly urge to make "..stinkie-pinkie.." and "..ten foot pole.." sputterings; so - please just suck your thumb and keep the whining to yourselves....!!!
Strat and it's management is the "..needle in the haystack.." that has defied all the PinkSheet "..Mafia Stock.." caveats, P&D, and whizbang scenarios. they've done everything they've said they would do. They are serious as death about being a success. And, if you have any serious questions, call Sam Hyams and/or Joe Frasko and ask for a detailed explanation.
Once in a while you get lucky, and stumble on a winner - like HLSH at $0.10 on the Pinks. It takes a lot of digging, but it's worth it. However, if you ultimately decide 'not' too buy some SPRL, please do me the courtesy of putting a SPRL "..stickie.." on the corner of your CRT with "..$0.30.." written on it. Six months from now the new Longs will be happy as a clam in sand, and the skeptics will be muttering in their stale Light beer; IMHO. And, you can always look me up anywhere on SI at that point in time and point out my error in judgement - IYHO - if you feel my information was in error.
NOTE: The "..MAJORS.." have been recently excluded from involvement in the Russian oil fields development - check the related news. Strat obviously doesn't have that problem, and manamgement just got home from Russia with a whole lot more than they anticipated when they went there.
