Do not shop at Walmart. It's evil.

I live in N. Id., an economically depressed area. Everyone I know that works at WalMart is damned glad to have the job. They have no better alternatives.

Since WalMart arrived, employment in the area has received a VERY significant boost. And WalMart wages -- and benefits -- are higher than existed at the various ma & pa shops prior to their arrival. Because their prices are considerably lower than local competition, economic activity has increased.

Suppose for a moment that WalMart employees are forced to work for bread and water at gunpoint. For every WM employee, there are multiples who, in effect, have received a nice bump in the value of their pay checks because their checks buy more "stuff".

Folks who can't think ought learn to keep their mouths shut.
