I think he is worried about what people will think about him after he leaves office. That would be a new and welcome phenomina. Right now I think he is only worried about keeping private and having people obsequent to him. He has many esteme issues. He never cared for, or about, history. If he is feeling stong enough to care how history treats him then he is bound to act better. TP
