| Well, of course, I knew you thought that, and you already knew what I thought since you and I have had a lot of this discussion. :) I still think it's a toss-up on the results that tactic might get-- and I do agree that it might plant a little thoughtful seed- we can hope-- though it's just as likely to cause rolled eyes. I have been thinking about it a lot because at Tony Roma's yesterday over the delicious ribs, I regaled everyone with pig statistics and porcine personality facts. As you can imagine, I was a great hit. Since it was my birthday dinner, I was granted some latitude. Had it not been for that, I would have been soundly rebuked by my family, who did not want to know about mother pigs singing lullabies to their babies while they chomped down on mom's ribs. In fact, my mother-in-law, exhibiting a hitherto latent and unsuspected nasty streak, smugly pointed out that I was eating pork ribs, not beef as I had thought. I then gave the rest of my ribs to CW, who seemed unaffected by remorse of any sort. |
