male: 63.25 years
female: 64.77 years (2004 est.)

male: 74.63 years
female: 80.36 years (2004 est.)

Another issue is why only 7.5% of China's population lives past age 65, while 12.4% of our meating eating population lives that long. I wonder if Dr Campbell addresses this little inconvenient fact in his book, The China Project.
