Now it's "insurgents" not "terrorism". Our stated "goal" was the war on terrorism, to reduce the threat of global terrorism. We have achieved exactly the opposite. <The real goal was more likely to set up bases in a friendly ME country. It's to be seen if we can pull that off long term, I doubt it. I imagine the we're going to get our ass thrown out IF the Iraq's can manage to piece together a government without a preliminary civil war.
