It's the Republi-can't hypocrisy that bugs me. Quite honestly, the only people that I went to high school with that didn't smoke reefer were detached from the consensus reality of their peer group in other ways. There were a couple of squeaky-clean nerds who probably didn't try it and a family of paramilitary nut cases that all volunteered to go to Viet Nam that didn't for sure. Another case which I knew was a pro-Nixon-till-the-end gun nut non-smoker went on to join the racially tense Long Beach Police Department. Considering the things that he said about minorities in school, I'm sure he did his part to make things worse at the LBPD.
