Where I am a strong supporter of the legalization of street drugs, I fully intend to make sure my son doesn't do what I did with drugs as a youth. He is 5 years old and we do talk about drug abuse...in an age appropriate way. Simple fact is though, my wife and I both know what to look for. Hopefully we are putting the proper foundation in now that he won't feel the need to use drugs, but if he does, we will nip it in the bud early.

I think that the only truly effective way to address the drug problem is in the home....and early.
