Since we are not taxed once we get over 90k, I think we could be. It's not like our family isn't willing to pay it. We are. And I know other families like ours who also agree it would probably make sense - IF the government used to the money to start paying down the debt. If Bush is just going to spend spend spend, then forget it- let the country go bankrupt.

That taxes might "eventually" hit others are reasons to change them when they do, not to let the wealthy out of the burden of supporting the society which we all enjoy, and to force the burden on to those who can least afford it. As I will continue to point out, not taxing the rich certainly doesn't solve anything- unless you want no social services. And then the rich pay in other ways- kidnappings, for example, tend to happen in places where the rich refuse to participate adequately in the social safety net. There is a price for everything, including a stable society, and the rich have more to gain from stability than the poor. (imo)
