I have $100k of available combined credit on three Visa cards.

But my total combined balance is rarely more than $4,000 between paying off the monthly balances in full each month.

This is the Fair-Issacs (FICO) idea of a high credit score - relatively high credit limits with very low utilization.

If I charged the cards up to close to their limits I'd become sub-prime overnight, even without a default.
