If a Democrat had been president, we would have gotten the same bang, for about half the bucks! The stimulation of the economy came from the paltry tax cuts the middle class and lower class did receive.

I think Mike has made his position quite clear. It's difficult to quantify any benefit the tax cuts or deficit spending may have had on the economy; there may not be any correlation in prior Administrations between tax cuts or increases to the economy; and while low interest rates, the falling dollar, improved productivity, China's role in lower prices and any other thing anyone can think of that is part of the macro-economics may in fact have a contribution to the US economy.... the only thing that's important is the Bush tax cuts and deficit spending. That's his core belief and it cannot be changed.
