UNB so far so good. Nice news.
I like the following text from the release because it represents many hundreds of thousands of dollars in pre-work and infrastructure acquired with this purchase.
Work conducted by Amax and Gulf include geological, geophysical and geochemical surveys, trenching, sampling, 54,103 feet of surface diamond drilling, and extensive costing and feasibility studies.
The Bald Butte project is easily accessible by existing roads, a rail siding is within 8 miles, the Butte-Mullan power line crosses a portion of the property and 2 existing flotation mills, MRI (53,000 TPD and Phillipsburg (3000 TPD) are both within 80 miles.
I'm wondering what the nature of this property is regarding state lands or parks or private land.
I'll bet, going unnoticed, is the fact that the two properties in close proximity are delivering 1/2 a billion tons. This will certainly raise eyebrows when picked up on I would think.
Anxious to see the next step in UNB's evolution. There is one item I think needs addressing and I hope it is attended to in some fashion. To me, it is the final piece in giving this play complete validity and probability for near term production. One mining man to another Hank, I'm sure you know what that is.
Cheers
