If the red states were self-reliant, it would be less bothersome and I would agree with you.

Not that your premise is accurate, but why would THAT have ANYTHING to do with it? This is some of the most convoluted reasoning I've seen on this thread.

"The blue states pay more of the costs of the nation's upkeep, THEREFORE the blue states should be allowed to control the law in the red states"?

I can't believe you actually said this. Maybe you want to think about it a bit and withdraw this statement? Hint: Constitution.
