That's odd, Jay! That thing takes DC power. How comes the power circuit goes kaputt, knowing that AC/DC analog part (more likely to go kaputt) is in the 'brick' -external to the laptop- through which you recharge?

If the internal power is kaputt, even having dedicated charger left at home wouldn't help, would it? Now, if the screen went blank, the power problem reported internallly is a low DC to high AC power conversion that powers the screen.

If you need to buy a spare mobile, can I infer you have been using your lapt top for Internet calls?

If so, how can one travel without a mobile phone at all??? Don't you have a soul and a heart to provide Nokia and other mobiles vendors with some revenue???

Do not buy TOO expensive geewhizbang omigolly mobile phone, else wife would think you are feeling guilty, and bought the gizmo to allay feeling of guilty.

Mobile phone should be handed over to wife with adequate information of how it came to be bought, else wife start thinking you felt guilty. And we know you have no reason to feel guilty, don't we?
