Well, here's the reason for the recent activity and up-trend:

Reyna de Oro sampling results

Wed 3 Sept 97 News Release
Ms Julie Hunter reports
Sampling results have been received from underground tunnels at the Reyna
de Oro property in Southwestern Chihuahua, Mexico.
Four of the five desired tunnels were successfully relocated and suitably
opened up for mapping and sampling. The fifth tunnel at the Mojonera zone
was opened up but ground conditions could not be stabilized in the talus
slope above the entrance to allow crews to enter the tunnel.
The two tunnels in Vicente and two tunnels in the Cuse zones have confirmed
the significant width and grades indicated from previously released surface
sampling. Continuous channel samples taken along the tunnel walls were each
2m to 3m in length. Mineralization was found to have good continuity and
virtually all samples are contiguous with the exception that heavy
timbering in the Upper Vicente interrupted the sampling over two short
intervals of approximately 2.5m each. The following table summarizes the
composite underground sampling to date.

Upper Vicente
25.8m composite 6.64 grams Au

Lower Vicente
10.0m composite 1.25 grams Au

Cuse Viejo (1st sampling)
45.0m continuous 2.51 grams Au

Cuse Viejo (2nd sampling)
45.0m continuous 2.41 grams Au

Cuse Nuevo
54m continuous 3.44 grams Au

Of interest above was the reproducibility of the grades in resampling of
Cuse Viejo and the good correlation with surface sampling where Vicente
reported 57m of 4.52 grams gold and Cuse reported partial exposure of 27m
grading 3.45 grams Au. Additionally, even though significant widths are
represented in the above tunnels, Upper Vicente, Cuse Viejo and Cuse Nuevo
all end with economic grade and the Upper Vicente and Cuse Viejo are
mineralized for their entire lengths and are believed to be cross-cutting
the volcanic mineralized sequence.
The Vicente and Cuse zones are approximately 180m apart and along strike,
with the Mojonera zone lying between them. As the adits lie at different
elevations on the hillside, they also represent 50m of vertical continuity
of the gold mineralization. A current 2,000m drilling program with the
fifth hole now in progress will test all three zones over this strike
length. Surface sampling continues on numerous mineralized and silicified
zones throughout the property. Further assays are expected within the next
10 days.
