Our pediatric orthopedist could have saved you money. When CW was an infant, his feet curved inward. Of course, good (read neurotic) mom that I was, I rushed him to a specialist who told us that toddlers should go as long as possible without shoes at all, and then wear only soft ones so that their arches and muscles would build naturally. He was quite adamant in his belief that those cute hard soled shoes that look so adorable should be shunned. We dutifully used those little corduroy booties with the rubber bottoms for a couple of years and then moved on to sneakers when they needed more protection.
Now since both your and my children seem to walk without falling down, it seems not to have mattered.
Yours looked cuter.
BUT I saved money.

My mother had me in horrible therapeutic high white baby shoes.
I also am able to walk without falling down-- for the most part.
