"It seems wherever I went in FLA there was a Winn Dixie. What happened to the store?" They had the whole state carpeted when I sold Coke there while I was in college. It was rumored that the primary requirement for a Winn Dixie manager was that their parents couldn't be married to each other... Probably what happened is what happens to a lot of supermarket chains. They expanded too far and their order tracking system fried. When they started to show up in East Texas, it meant they were on that road.
