Some were very stand offish......at least the older ones. The younger ones and most shop owners were kind and helpful. I remember going to a hardware store looking for something. When I asked if they carried it (can't remember what it was now) the older gentleman behind the counter might as well have spoken Russian to me......couldn't make out a word. I walked out in frustration. -gg- Speaking of Russian.......I was at Larry's Market today looking at the meat. A youngish woman came up to me and asked me if I was "Ruski." I said no and asked her if she was "Ruski?" She shook her head yes and walked away. Very strange.
