The guy wasn't a spurious reporter. Anyone who can get someone to print their stuff can be a reporter. Even Dan Rather.

Look of course, the problem with Gannon/Guckert was he was pro-Bush and not anti-Bush like say, Helen Thomas and most of the rest of the MSM. Guckert being gay and having nude pictures on the web etc. was just the way the liberals got him.

Well, the liberal blogs and liberals on SI can do high fives over the nobody that was Guckert.

Meanwhile, conservative critics have taken down CBS anchor Dan Rather, CNN news head Jordan Eason, and NYT editor Howell Raines - and not because of a scandal over their sex lives but because of journalistic fraud and mistatements.
