Best grocery store chain ever -- they're doing phenomenally well, and it was voted the best place in the States to work this year.


Its weird hearing these names again. Wegman's actually started in Rochester, not Syracuse. Rochester was always the better market. I doubt that that has changed. Rochester was more affluent and had a better grouping of industries......like Eastman Kodak. I did a paper on the two cities for one of my urban planning classes. <g>

That's why I was surprised that something from Syracuse ended up in NYC. Having said that, have you ever had bread from Columbus bakery? Its the best. If not, next time you're in Syracuse.....check it out....take some butter with you and eat the bread hot. Its near downtown. It was incredibly good!
