I'm glad to hear it. Little clubs made up of people who gather to bash others are sickening. I am pleased to say I have seen less of it by the left than by the right- but it annoys me when I see it on either side. Unfortunately several people still posting here do say horrible things about the people here, and say them on other threads. I hope those people will be banned soon. It's too bad people can't be thrown off SI for bad behavior. I used to think that getting people banned from SI for ugly behavior was too extreme, but now that I've seen just how bad groups of people can get, I have changed my mind. It is a monument to their bad behavior that I have changed my mind.

Some will say the thread will be "boring" without the banees. Boring beats ugly hands down Grainne. And even should no one post on feelies, it would beat hatefulness. That is not to say that hatefulness is not very attractive to many people- since people love to bond over someone or something to hate, but that does not make it the kind of thing one should give in to, if one has the will to resist. IMO, of course.
