police , etc always have to be monitored imo... i have seen some of the toughest kids when i grew up go into the department. They were the ones in trouble the most and loved to get into fights. The reputation as cops was .. bad news cops..

I also heard stories of some great guys who joined the force but after being out there in the city experiencing so much crime and negative life styles and judges who left everyone off they become hard. Their whole outlook on life changes.

It is a very tough job. I hope they under go physicals often but highly doubt it. I also believe tasrs will save lives more than kill someone. the news last night showed one city that will require physcial exam on everyone being tasr shot. If this saves more lives it is a good thing. The worst thing is stop the tasrs as i believe they save injuries to police and those they are trying to arrest. A good example of a tasr opportunity was the picture on the news in Japan? of cops running from a nut with a baseball bat. If they had a tasr they could have shot him , without it they ran.
