I love how the liberals always manage to come up with these "heads I win, tails you lose" proposals. Okay, then the people who insist that their power come from those giant bird killers should agree to pay the short term costs of them (that are now covered by tax advantages), as well as the long term unfunded liabilities.

Seems like an odd comment to make. There's a power company [either Dominion or Pepco] that offers consumers a choice of which source of power generation they wish too use. If they want it, they can pay for "green power". Rates are adjusted accordingly and green power is pretty darn expensive. How the power company actually keeps track of that and whether in reality the consumer is using a particular kind of power seems to be an accounting gimmic, but the choice is offered. Personally, I'd call that capitalism and free market choice...if you want to call capitalism and free market choice a liberal idea, sic, not conservative, that's ok with me but it does seem odd.
