fixx died as a result of his genetics... he thought he could overcome them by running... he didn't he died running that said he did the best he could with a deck that was stacked against him and died doing what he loved otoh pritikin committed suicide as he realized his dietary regimen would not prevent or cure his genetic propensity toward cancer
