Saddam was nobody's hero and I don't miss him. The Nazi's were practicing international genocide and we were actually slow to respond to that. Many died in Poland that could have been prevented if the international community had intervened. Who was Saddam practicing genocide against? The Kurds? He was brutal and an evil monster but was he systematically killing off a race? No. Is bush's ally Putin committing genocide against Chechnyans? The Russians have killed over a quarter million and have exiled millions. Rumsfeld offered assistance. bush turns a blind to genocide in Chechnya and Sudan but finds reason to kill many many innocent Iraqis. bush foments terrorists and is focussing their efforts on the US to build popular support for a return to Muslim fundamentalism and an overthrow of the House of Saud, another bush bedmate. Where will it end? Saud will fall, the mullahs will take over Iraq. How many generations of Americans will have to die in the mideast to support bush's misguided foreign policy?
