Hi Gersh,

FWIW, my stop is just below yesterday's intraday low for the expected short-term rally in QQQQ, which appears to be developing as anticipated (early trading down at the open followed by rally late in the day... then continuation into Friday, then resumption of the downtrend soon after, possibly as soon as late in Friday's session, but more likely on Monday or Tuesday).

The dominant short term trend is up, but that trend is just that---short!. Things could change quickly and unexpectedly.

The dominant medium-term trend is down.

The dominant long-term trend is up.

I think it wise to position yourself accordingly, taking into careful account how nimble you are/how closely you can watch things. If you can't watch things closely, it is too risky to play short-term trends, and you are better off dealing with medium and long term trends.

.... all IMHO, of course.
