the last game of the season is hugh, against Maryland. I picked Maryland to win the ACC Tournament at the first of the season. It looks like UNC at this point. In all fairness to all three teams any of the three can win it . Duke, UNC or Md.
I see no reason we can beat Md @ the Cassell. Those guys are calling it the new "Pit" in the ACC.i.e. ESPN. If we are on the bubble in sixth place, and win, we have to play in the second round against probably the number one seed, Duke. That is and would be terrible. No way we will beat them twice in one season and away from home court.The top 5 seeds get first round byes.
Assuming we don't wait until the last game and pull one out of our noses, that means we have to win two road games, Feb 26 @ NC State and Mar. 1st against Clemson to be sure of getting a first round bye.
Talk about an up-hill-struggle. Such is what great teams are about. I think, hope , believe, pray for we can and will do what it takes to make the NCAA.
