The company did not detail the size of the expected loss. Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.31 in the third quarter, ending Sept. 28, according to First Call. In the comparable year-ago quarter AMD posted a loss of $38.3 million, or $0.28 a share, on revenues of $456.8 million. ____ Ibexx
