Of course Australia is a safe place and I think that Brazil is good also. I definitely regret selling out my Desert Sun stock there. I do sleep OK at night having money in Romania -- at least in such a country they would understand the value of a billion and a half of economic benefits and spinoffs from a mine, and as prospective entrants into the EU, they would not expropriate anything.

Within Canada, some areas are better than others... Quebec on the top of the list due to tax advantages, and BC near the bottom, particularly if any of the many native land claims figure in.

As for countries to avoid... the list is too many.
