Well, this time the Fed seems set on this new course of steadily raising interest rates, and I think it will have to continue in order to prevent the dollar from losing another 30% of its value (which it may do anyway).

I really do not like gold. It's not easy to carry around--even dangerous. The buy/sell spreads are usually unfair. Is there a single bank in the United States where you can walk in and get cash for your gold? I have some that sits in my safe deposit box and has never done me any good. Can you take Maple Leafs into a Canadian bank and open a checking account with them?
