What "back it up" do you need. He provided the backup. 47 US soldiers killed in the last 24 days. Replacing a secular regime (Sadam was not so much into Islam) with someone who is saying that sharia shall prevail. A regime where a mullah like Sistani had no voice in the state but who now has a voice. Mixing religion with politics.

Today, we also know that Bush came back empty handed from Iraq as far as Iraq is concerned. The Europeans have clearly stated that they are "not going to put on their military boots for Iraq."

Furthermore, Allawi (someone installed by Bush) has come in last. The more dogmatic Shia are way out front. This clearly indicates that Iraqis have voted for theocratic form of Govt.

Bush may continue to try to bully Iran, but the Iranians have already achieved their objective in Iraq with the "Bush way"; democratically. They have their men in Iraq who have been democratically elected. What is going to be Bush's next move? Keep guessing but stay tuned for no matter what his next move will be, it will be a stupid one all over again.
