Novak Named the Official Who Exposed Plame On the Jim Lehrer News Hour, it was reported that Bob Novak has testified and named the Administration official who gave him the name of deep-cover CIA agent Valerie Plame. Novak's spin, apparently, is that if the leaker didn't know he/she was committing a crime then it wasn't a crime, and if he/she wasn't operating under cover at that time, it wasn't a crime. The name of the leaker was not revealed on the show. Patrick Fitzgerald is apparently looking for corroboration from other reporters to get better charges assembled.
