In such private consultations the friend shares their advice about the proposed course. One of the best pieces of advice I ever receive was when I first joined an elective board: Disagreement stays in the meeting, once a decision is made the only piece of information for dissemination is that the subject was discussed and this is the decision that was made. It appears to me you would like to introduce intellectual tyranny as American. And any dissent as un-American. Well that is not gonna fly as freedom of conscience is at the essence of American liberties. You appear to be shooting from the hip.
